Fishing with friends

A big group of families from our neighborhood went to Gov. Dodge state park for some camping and fishing. The Aroras don't camp, but we did join them for the fishing (then we came home and slept in our nice warm dry beds while they all slept in tents with it raining all night!)

Here's Neeraj and the boys, catching mostly weeds.

The look like they know what they're doing don't they.

Arjun, "why can't I catch a fish mama?"

Maya our fisher girl. She would spend all day everyday fishing if she could.

Kiran was way more into the wild flowers than the fishing.

Rohun, "I really want to jump in!"

Kiran recruiting Mary to help with the flowers.

I'm not sure what exactly was going on here. It looks like Rohun is doing a song with the net and Olivia is dancing along.

The kids all gather round to watch master fisherman, Joe, fillet the fish. Notice Maya is absent. Although she loves to fish, she did not enjoy watching the cleaning of the fish (she's a catch and release kind of a gal).
